Several Questioned in West Side Car Breakins

COLUMBUS (Kellie Hanna) -- Police were dispatched to several car break-ins in West Columbus early Tuesday morning.

They got a report that two guys were breaking into cars along Burlake Road about 4 a.m.

They say that was the tip they needed to catch the burglars.

Police then pulled over a car at Clime Road and Georgesville Road with several suspects and thousands of dollars worth of stolen electronics.

Neighbors at the Oakwood Apartment complex off Norton Road say these car break-ins have a been a problem for several months.

Just this morning, several more cars and SUVs were broken into and electronics stolen from them.

Police say they are looking into whether or not there are more victims.

So far, there's no word on any charges for the people taken into custody earlier today.
