Traffic to Ohio A-F District Report Cards Crashes Website

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Ohio Department of Education says its website has been overwhelmed with visitors seeking access to new A-F report cards.

Officials said heavy traffic has caused delays since the morning release of reports, which rate schools on nine of 18 new performance measures.

State Superintendent Richard Ross said the department was working diligently to make adjustments to the site to accommodate demand.

Ross said another path to the data was available from the report card site. To get there, users should select "2012-2013" then "District Data" or "School Building Data" to download a spreadsheet with all the grades.

Ross said no district received all A's on Thursday's reports, but none received all F's.

He said tougher performance standards will make Ohio's schools better and state more competitive.
