DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS (Jen French)- Swimmers and park-goers are braving the unusually low August temperatures.
Fewer children than usual are still seen running through the bicentennial park fountain during this time of the year. Amber Hillman brought her four children. All of them wore their clothes while they ran through the fountain.
"They didn't care. They've been in the swimming pool when it's been cold the whole time, Hillman said.
Dodge Pool in West Columbus is just as chilly. Late Wednesday afternoon, the water was only 78 degrees.
I brought my hoodie. It's a little bit chilly, but I like the weather, DJ Lemay said.
Columbus City public pools are open until August 18th.
