Man Arrested Selling Fake Soccer Tickets

COLUMBUS -- A man faces charges that he allegedly sold counterfeit tickets to the USA-Mexico Soccer Tournament.

The victim says he met Anthony M. Dunston through a Craigslist ad where he was selling tickets to the USA-Mexico game.  The two met on Saturday in the area of N. High St. and 11th Ave.

After the victim bought the tickets, he compared them to the ones he already had bought from a ticket agent.  A Ticketmaster box officer worker told the victim that the tickets he had gotten were counterfeit.

Police showed the victim a lineup and say he positively identified Dunston as the man who had sold him the counterfeit tickets.  Dunston had several outstanding warrants for his arrest for selling other fake USA-Mexico tickets, according to police.

Dunston was later arrested and charged with four counts each of forgery and possession of criminal tools.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in Franklin County Municipal Court.
