A Columbus Grandmother says She Caught a Burglar on Her Nanny Cam
COLUMBUS (Tara Morgan) -- A grandmother says she caught a burglar in the act with her new nanny cam.
Judy Grinston says the mystery started in June when electronics, jewelry and cash started disappearing from her house after she went out to water her flowers.
She's lived on S. 18th street for nearly 30 years.
Grinston says she suspected her neighbor Bryant Kibby but didn't have solid proof.
Her daughter suggested she set up a nanny cam.
"I'm watering flowers few minutes later my phone rings she says oh mom he's in your house he's in your house," said Grinston.
Grinston says her daughter watched it all unfold Thursday evening on her smartphone app linked to the surveillance camera.
Kibby was arrested after officers tackled him in Grinston's back yard.
He was in court Friday and according to prosecutors admitted to Thursday's burglary to feed his crack habit but denied involvement in other burglaries at Grinston's house.
Kibby will be back in court next week.
