Family Wants Answers in Woman's Death on I-71
COLUMBUS (Adam Aaro) -- A Central Ohio family continues to search for answers in the death of a woman along I-71.
In the early morning hours of August 21st, police say 22-year-old Jessica Nichols got out of a moving car on I-71 near the Cooke Road exit. It's still unclear if Nichols jumped or was pushed out of the car. Her family says she was dealing with demons right before she died and struggled with a drug addiction.
"She went down the wrong path," Her sister Jamie Nichols said. "She got mixed up with the wrong people."
But Jamie Nichols says her sister was not suicidal and she and others in her family believe there was foul play involved.
"We just want to know what happened," Nichols said. "And if someone did this, we want them behind bars. I mean, we want justice for our sister."
The family has set up a Facebook page in hopes of finding new leads in the case to help investigators. You can find it by searching, "Jessica Deserves Justice".
