Thousands Show Support For Breast Cancer Cure

DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS (Jen French)Thousands of men and women came together with a common goalto end breast cancer. Sunday morning, nearly 5,000 survivors and supporters walked in the Making Strides 5K.

Paula Fout was diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago.

"It's amazing how many people are there for you that you don't realize--there's a lot of love here, Paula Fout said, survivor.

Lisa Youngs mother and aunt have breast cancer.

"It was a long road, Young said.

For her, its a hardship thats hereditary. Its a fight she doesnt want her daughter Courtney to face.

 It come to her [my mom] or could come to me, Courtney Young said.

Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
