Search Intensifies for Grandview Flasher
GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS (Ben Garbarek) -- New information is coming out about the man wanted for flashing people across Grandview Heights.
Police have identified twelve incidents around town. The most recent one happened last Wednesday near Grandview Avenue and 1st Avenue.
Investigators said the flasher usually hides behind a bush or between two buildings, then pops out and exposes himself.
Apparently police were close to catching him recently. Mayor Ray DeGraw said police narrowly missed catching him after getting a call about him.
"This could happen anywhere for any reason," DeGraw said. "It's happened here and we're a community that can get this person very quickly so I think he's stupid to be here and not too smart to come to our community. We'll get him."
Police revealed the flasher exposed himself five times in one night back in August.
"This is a sick person that needs to be off the street," he said.
There is not a detailed description of the suspect because he often hides his face using his shirt.
Anyone that sees him is asked to call Grandview Heights Police.
