Judge Sets Bail for NE Columbus Man Accused of Abusing Wife's Corpse

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A man accused of pushing his wife's body down a flight of stairs appeared in court Friday morning as police announced that the woman's death is being investigated as a murder.

A judge set Guido Henry's bail amount at $40,000 in a Franklin County courtroom a day after Henry turned himself into police to answer to a charge of abuse of a corpse.

Investigators have accused Henry of throwing the body of his wife, Amber, down a flight of stairs inside a vacant Camden Ave. house on Wednesday morning.

Witnesses told police they saw Henry pushing a woman inside a plastic bin in the area of the vacant house in which her body was discovered.

Investigators have not determined where or how the 35-year-old woman died, though they do believe she was murdered.

Police have not identified Henry as a suspect in his wife's murder.
