House Fire Kills Young Boy in Coshocton County

WALHONDING VALLEY, Ohio (Ken Hines) -- Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a house fire that killed a 10-year-old boy on Tuesday morning in Coshocton County.

Fire fighters from five departments were sent to the burning home on Perry Township Road 370 at approximately 6:50 a.m. after a 911 caller reported the blaze to the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office.

Rescue workers found the boy dead inside the home as fire fighters worked to extinguish the flames.

Ohio Fire Marshall's Office agents will assist local authorities in their investigation into the cause of the blaze.

Sheriff's investigators have not publicly identified the deceased victim.
