COLUMBUS (Clay Hall) -- He is as punishing a runner as there is in college football.

Carlos Hyde, the senior running back who missed the first three games, rumbled for 246 yards and five touchdowns at Illinois.

The effort tied him with Archie Griffin as the third best day for a running back at Ohio State. Now, Hyde is expected to surpass the 1,000 yard mark Saturday against Indiana.

Hyde is so agile and can certainly run around players, but he often seems more comfortable running over them.

Even in practice, his offensive line knows this all too well -- the 230-pound Hyde always goes hard.

He is sure to take it out on Indiana Saturday.
