Police: Shots Fired During NE Columbus Break-In

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Police are trying to determine if a suspect was shot during a break-in at a Southeast Side home.

The homeowner fired shots at a suspect after he entered the rear of the Reynard Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Investigators do not know if those gunshots struck the suspect, but they have confirmed that blood was found outside the home.

Police believe the possibly-wounded suspect and an accomplice were traveling in a gold, four-door Cadillac with dark-tinted rear windows. The vehicle is believed to be missing its left, rear hubcap.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-4545.
