Fans Gear Up for Buckeye Game in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Tom Bosco/Kate Liebers) -- The day before the Buckeyes were scheduled to battle the Spartans on the field, football fans battled the snowstorm on the highways.
Strategizing Buckeye fans from Dublin said they arrived around 1:30 p.m. Friday, missing the brunt of the snow flurries.
Even if they had to wait in the winter traffic, however, Ken Cooper said he still would have made the trek.
"I think we were going to go regardless," he said. "It would have to be pretty bad for us not to make the trip over."
Crews prepared for the football crowds throughout the day, from salting the Soldiers and Sailors Monument to scraping the last piles of snow around Lucas Oil Stadium.
One remaining winter inconvenience is the chill, but that, of course, will not be an issue for the Buckeyes or their fans in the toasty stadium Saturday night.
