Police Use Snowy Footprints to Find Burglary Suspects

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Fresh snow helped police find two men who were allegedly fired upon by a homeowner while committing a burglary early Tuesday morning on the city's North Side.

Police followed footprints from the Say Avenue home where the break-in occurred to a Summit Road residence where the suspects were allegedly hiding.

The suspects fled the site of the burglary when the homeowner fired multiple shots in their direction, according to investigators. No one was hurt by the gunfire.

Authorities have not filed charges in connection with the break-in.
