Driver Crashes Between 2 East Columbus Homes

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A driver narrowly missed two gas meters when he crashed his car in between two East Side homes on Thursday morning.

The driver's vehicle ended up in a narrow space between the homes on McNaughten Grove Lane at approximately 1:30 a.m.

No one was hurt as a result of the crash, though homeowner Mark Herman told ABC 6/FOX 28 the result could have been much worse if the car had drifted just inches further to either side.

"They went between both of our gas meters, and with the police pulling it out tonight, it appeared they had about three to four inches on either side of the car to miss the gas meters," Herman said.

Police issued a citation to the driver of the car. The cause of the crash has not been publicly released.
