Thief Targets Business Three Times

SOUTHWEST COLUMBUS (Ben Garbarek) -- The owners of a local small business have had enough with a thief that's targeted their shop three times.  This latest time the thief has taken something with a lot more sentimental value.

The Bledsoe family runs Tra-Serv, a trailer maintenance company.  They said the thief took scrap metal the first two times he broken into the shop.  This latest time he stole the owner's son's prized dirt bike.

"To have it missing and stolen like that just really upsets you," said owner Mike Bledsoe.

His son Brandon also works in the shop and was storing his bike in the warehouse.

"I've always wanted a dirt bike ever since I was little," Brandon Bledsoe said.  "I had the opportunity (to buy one) after getting a job here with my dad.  I saved up my money as much as I could and I bought me a dirt bike.  I rode it every day.  It's my pride and joy."

The Bledsoe's have surveillance video showing a man breaking in and leaving moments later with the bike.

"My heart just dropped to my toes quicker than all get up," Brandon Bledsoe said.

Now the family wants this thief to quit stealing from them and for someone to turn him in.

"It'd just be a joy," Mike Bledsoe said.  "Something was taken from one of your family members, especially your kids.  He (should be) caught and punished for it.  It'd be a big relief."
