Man Charged with Murder of Guernsey Co. Pizza Delivery Woman

GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio (Ken Hines/Kate Liebers) -- A man was charged with murder following the death of a woman allegedly abducted while delivering a pizza.

Adam Burris, 32, was suspected of killing Kayla Thompson, whose body was found Thursday night at Dollin State Park. Muskingum County deputies had found her body house after coworkers told police she failed to return from a delivery.

When officers arrived at the delivery address, the suspect's girlfriend told investigators she saw the Burris drive away from the residence in the victim's car. 

State troopers had apprehended Burris on I-70, where he was reportedly driving a the vehicle Thompson used to deliver pizzas in Guernsey County.

Burris then reportedly led investigators to the park where Thompson's body was discovered. Authorities have not released any possible causes of Thompson's death.

Thompson, 26, was the mother of a 3-year-old toddler and a 2-month-old baby. Both children are under the care of relatives.
