Large Reward for Information in Cold Case Death

PERRY COUNTY (Ben Garbarek) -- The family of a man hit and killed is increasing their reward in the hopes it'll lead to their brother's killer.

David Savage Jr., 18, was killed along State Route 93 in Perry County back in July 2010.  State troopers said they're out of leads and the trail in their investigation has gone cold.  The Savage family is now offering $10,000 for information.

"It's sad we have to put out that much money for someone to come forward to let us know who's guilty of this," said Tim Savage, David's older brother.

The family still has no better idea what happened than they did three years ago.

"What happened?" Savage said.  "Did he have to suffer?  What did they put him through to have to deal with whatever he had to deal with that night that he was taken?"

The family has been raising money ever since David's death.  They said they're going to keep raising as much money as they can until they find justice.

"It's been three years," he said.  "If it takes 10 (years), 15 (years), the rest of our life to find out, we're not going to stop.  We're going to keep looking and they're going to pay for what they did."
