Beloved Mexican Restaurant Reopens in Marysville
MARYSVILLE (Mike McCarthy) -- A popular Marysville restaurant is officially back open, after a storm destroyed its previous location more than a year-and-a-half ago.
This week, Fiesta Grande welcomed customers for the first time since the powerful wind storm of June, 2012.
The downtown building that formerly housed the restaurant partially collapsed, and city inspectors deemed it had to be demolished.
Employees have been working out of town while a new location at 109 North Main Street was remodeled.
The grand reopening was celebrated on Wednesday with a mariachi band and crowds of eager customers.
"I guess we hoped it was going to be busy, but we never expected to be this busy," co-owner Rosa Arevalo said. "It's amazing."
