Sunbury Woman Headed to Prison After Admitting to Sex with Minor

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A Sunbury woman has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison after admitting to engaging in sexual contact with a juvenile male in her care.

Pam Fisher was sentenced to 57 months in prison on Friday, nearly two months after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual battery and three counts of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Fisher allegedly abused the victim -- whose age has not been released -- multiple times from August 1, 2012 to September 22, 2012 while he stayed in her home.

There were multiple occasions where Mrs. Fisher preyed on this juvenile victim and abused her position of authority and trust, said Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney Carol OBrien. Young men can be victims, just as young girls and women can be predators, just as men. Prison time is warranted.

After her release, Fisher will be labeled a Tier III sex offender for the remainder of her life.
