Columbus Man Accused of Dragging Woman, Baby from Car Posts Bond

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A man accused of dragging a woman from a car while she held an infant appeared in a Franklin County courtroom on Monday.

Curtis Crowley faces a felony robbery charge after allegedly dragging a woman and her 6-month-old baby on E. Dublin Granville Road on October 14 while stealing the victim's cell phone.

Crowley arranged to purchase the phone from the victim in a Burger King parking lot in response to a Craigslist ad, according to police. He allegedly waited for the woman to hand the phone to him as he sat in the driver's seat of his car, and then rolled up his window on her arm and drove away while she held her baby.

Crowley dragged the victim and her baby 30-feet before stopping and pushing them from the car. The mother and her child each suffered minor injuries.

Crowley has posted a $50,000 bond, and faces a possible indictment when his case is heard by the Franklin County Grand Jury at an undetermined date.
