Police: Suspect Likely Responsible for Two E. Columbus Store Robberies

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Police believe one man is responsible for two recent robberies at East Side businesses, but investigators have yet to identify the suspect.

The latest robbery attributed to the suspect occurred at Family Dollar on Cleveland Avenue on Saturday, less than a week after he allegedly struck at Advanced Auto Parts on the same road.

The suspect brandished a handgun while stealing cash from registers during both robberies, according to police.

The suspect is described as African-American, 35-45-years old, 5'10" tall and 160-180 lbs.
