Hilliard Bank Robber Continues to Elude Police

HILLIARD (Ken Hines) -- Police hope tips from the public can help them identify a suspect who donned a wig while robbing a bank on Wednesday.

The unidentified suspect pulled a gun after entering First Service Federal Credit Union on Hilliard Rome Road at approximately 10:45 a.m.

The suspect initially ordered a teller to fill a bag with money, but soon jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash himself before fleeing the bank on foot.

The robber is described as African-American, 6'0" tall and 150-200 lbs. He donned a black wig during the robbery, along with a dark-colored scarf that covered his face. He was also wearing black pants and a black coat, according to witnesses.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to contact the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-4545.
