USPS Carriers Brave Hash Winter Conditions

COLUMBUS (Andrew Michael) -- On Monday, carriers with the United States Postal Service braved harsh conditions to deliver mail to residents in central Ohio.

Eric Counts said it was the coldest weather hes ever worked in. The decade-long veteran says the worst part of severe weather days is wearing ice cleats, which make his back hurt.

As for the cold temperatures, Counts says he manages to stay warm with a lot of layers. On Tuesday, when wind chills are expected to be even colder, he plans to wear even more layers and keep his thoughts on the warm Hawaii vacation that he plans to take later this year.
