Suspect At Large After NW Columbus Bank Robbery

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Police are trying to identify the man responsible for an armed robbery that occurred at a Northwest Side bank on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect displayed a handgun at Fifth Third Bank on W. 5th Avenue at approximately 4:15 p.m., and then handed a teller a note demanding money. He then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as African-American, 20-30-years-old, 6'0"-6'4" tall with a medium build and facial hair. He was wearing a canvas jacket, green baseball cap, and dark hoodie at the time of the robbery.
