ROME, N.Y. (SBG) — A police department in New York went all out for a 10-year-old boy who wrote Santa a letter saying he would give up the only present he wanted for Christmas if Santa would just help his father.

Ten-year-old Xander Zyla's wish was granted when a local Honda dealership gave his father a brand new vehicle.

But the Christmas miracle didn't stop there.

Zyla's Christmas got even better after someone reached out to the Rome Police Department and asked if the 10-year-old could be included in their "Shop With a Cop" program.

"After hearing about Xander’s incredibly selfless request to Santa, the Rome Police PBA knew they had to step up big for this little boy!" police wrote on Facebook.

After some "investigation" the police department discovered Zyla wanted a gaming computer system, so the department purchased a state of the art system for him.

"This young boy is an inspiration to us all and we hope that we have helped to make his Christmas even more special! Thank you Xander for being you!!" the department added.

The department posted a heartwarming video of police officers delivering the Christmas present to Zyla. The video ends with one of the officers telling the 10-year-old that "it takes a special man to raise a boy like this" so they also had a present for Zyla's father.
