Preparing for the upcoming school year, teens typically have the most skin related issues dealing with acne and that is especially the case when maskne appears. Jaclyn Peresetsky the owner of Skin Perfect Spas joins Good Day Columbus with advice to help teens incorporate a daily skin care routine.

The first recommendation is to start your skin care routine each morning when you wake up and again at night before bed.

Morning:

1. Cleanse and/or scrub

2. Exfoliate using toner or pads

3. Moisturize with a light gel or lotion oil free

4. Check for an SPF

Evening

1. Cleanse your skin especially along your hairline after a day of perspiration.

2. Treat your skin with retinol and benzoyl peroxide. These can be drying and irritating so introduce every 3 days to acclimate skin or apply barrier repairing moisturizer prior to Retinol or BPO application.

3. Moisturize

You can also try acne spot treatment or body sprays for body breakouts and post workout cleansing pads to prevent sweat breakouts.
