Good Day Gardening: Week 10

This week, instead of the nicely manicured Good Day Garden at the station or Darby Creek Nursery, it was time to visit Buck's house to show what you can be doing to maximize your lawn and garden.

Buck found out that spot treating the yard should be done with sprays instead of spot treating with the bagged weed and feed.

In the garden the tomato cages are too small and caution should be used when mulching with grass clippings.

Straw is a better mulch for plants because there are no chemicals on the straw and it also allows for some air flow.
