Min Din Monday: Simple low calorie soups for the new year

After the New year many people search for quick and easy low calories recipes. Esther Weisman joins Good Day Columbus with two simple soups you can make in just five minutes.

Easy Won Ton Soup

1) 8 chicken pot stickers

2) 1/2 container sliced white mushrooms

3) 3 scallions sliced

4) box organic chicken stock

Directions:

Defrost 8 pot stickers in microwave.

While pot stickers are defrosting slice 3 scallions.

Add the scallions and half the carton of mushroom slices to your pot.

Pour in the entire box of organic chicken stock, and add the pot stickers as well to the pot.

Heat on medium/high until soup is boiling.

Enjoy!


Hearty Lentil Soup

1) prepared lentils

2)1/2 box of sliced mushrooms

3) half a container diced white onions

4) box hearty vegetable soup

Place the lentils in a large pot sprayed with a bit of olive oil spray.

Add the mushrooms to the lentils and start breaking the lentils and mushrooms up into chunks.

Add the onions and give it all a good stir.

Pour in the entire box of he hearty vegetable soup.

Heat on medium/ high until the soups is boiling.

Enjoy!
