10 pigs, 3 dogs confiscated from home in Licking County
Several animals will need new homes after humane society workers rescued them from a home in Licking County, after they say care just became too much for the owner.
Ten pot-bellied pigs were confiscated from the property, and agents say many of them are malnourished. While looking for permanent homes for the pigs, the Humane Society is also asking for any help covering the costs, saying they've already spent $600 on food since the rescue. The pigs range in age, and there are some that are pregnant.
There were also three dogs taken from the property. The dogs - named Doodle, Roper, and Puck - will be available for adoption once they are checked out and spayed/neutered.
The Humane Society didn't release any information about the owner, simply saying the animals became too much for them, and the investigation is still ongoing.
