12-year-old boy on bicycle killed after being hit by two vehicles in Newark
A 12-year-old boy is died after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in Newark Friday evening.
According to the Newark Police Department, firefighters and officers responded to a 911 call just before 6 p.m. on a report of a boy being hit by a vehicle on North 21st Street.
When first responders arrived at the scene they found the bicyclist had died from his injuries. Police identified the bicyclist as Timothy Sanders.
Information gather during the on-going investigation revealed that Sanders was travelling eastbound across North 21st when he was first stuck by two-vehicles.
Police say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
