A grand jury returned a 42-count indictment on five individuals, who have been charged with multiple counts of Human Trafficking and promoting prostitution.

The charges come after an investigation that started with tips received by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force in 2016. Authorities say the suspects are accused of trafficking more than a dozen women through commercial sex advertising over a two-year period.

The people charged with trafficking include:

  • Curtis Gossett, 59, of Columbus
  • Stacey Rockey, 45, of Lancaster
  • Christina Austin, 28, of Columbus
  • Jeffrey Bagley, 37, of Columbus

The charges range from engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, to trafficking in persons, to promoting prostitution. A fifth suspect, Brooke Adkins, 26, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin, and aggravated possession of drugs.

All of the suspects are in custody.
