Charges dropped against man wrongfully accused of murder in Upper Arlington
Charges have been dropped against the man initially accused of murdering a restaurant worker in Upper Arlington.
The Franklin County Prosecutor's Office said murder charges against Jeffrey Lamar Smith were dismissed Tuesday morning.
Smith was released from jail after questions were raised in his first court appearance.
Upper Arlington Police have since issued a warrant for Jeffrey Blaire Harrison.
Harrison is accused of stabbing a man outside the China Dynasty on West Lane Avenue earlier this month.
Smith spoke with reporters about his wrongful charges. He said he is not upset with Upper Arlington Police and hopes they are able to find the real killer.
