(WKEF/WRGT) - Chuck E Cheese's is a fun-filled spot for kids to play, enjoy games and eat pizza. But for some kids, the bright lights and noises aren't any fun at all.

The chain has announced it will now be offering 'Sensory Sensitive Sundays' every month for children with autism and other special needs. The events will be the first Sunday of every month.

For the special events, the restaurants will open two hours early and the lights inside will be dimmed, while the noises will be reduced. No music or show will be playing during the events. Food and games will still be available during the event. Ami Anderson, the marketing director for Chuck E. Cheese's made the announcement in a YouTube video, saying she is "thrilled" the company is now offering this new program.
