Murdered Ohio State senior Reagan Tokes would have been 23-years-old Tuesday. Closing arguments were heard in the trial of Brian Golsby, the man accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering Tokes.

The prosecution rested its case Monday after an emotional testimony that included statements from a friend of Golsby and the mother of his child. Both women said they saw him driving a car police say belonged to Tokes.

Prosecutors believe Golsby randomly targeted the then 21-year-old student in the Short North February of last year. She was later found naked and dead at Scioto Grove Metro Park.

Golsby's friend Brittany Stepp said he confessed to killing Tokes during a jail visit. The mother of Golsby's child didn't want to be identified on stand.

While the accused killer didn't testify, prosecutors did share a video showing part of the interrogation by police in which he claimed he left Tokes alive at the park.

A decision could be shared by jurors as early as noon Tuesday. If there's no verdict, the jury would be sequestered until one is made.

ABC 6/FOX 28 will continue to follow this trial.
