Firefighters shut off water after side of old Fort Rapids building freezes from pipe burst

Columbus Firefighters worked to shut water off to the former Fort Rapids building after a pipe burst Wednesday morning.

CFD said water was flowing from a burst pipe on the 12th floor into an elevator shaft.

Firefighters received the call around 7:40 a.m.

The building's manager headed to the scene to help reduce the damage. Columbus firefighters said they successfully shut off the water.

The water park and hotel was forced to close following several issues.
