Columbus Police investigating death of man accused of robbing woman near gas station


Police are investigating the death of a man who is accused of robbing a woman at a gas in northeast Columbus Sunday morning.

Columbus Division of Police responded to call just before 10 a.m. to the area of Plaza Properties Boulevard on a report of several males chasing another man, who may have been a suspect out of a robbery that occurred in the lot of a Speedway Gas Station, near North Cassidy Avenue.

When officers arrived to the scene they found the victim laying in the rear of the Four Points Hotel.

The victim was taken to Ohio State University Hospital East, where he died from his injuries.

This investigation is ongoing and marks the 41st homicide for 2018.
