Coroner: Five overdose deaths reported within 24-hours
The Franklin County Coroner's Office has seen a spike in overdose deaths in the last 24-hours.
According to a press release from the coroner's office, they said between the hours of 5:21 p.m. Thursday and 9:59 a.m. Friday there were five apparent overdose deaths in across Columbus.
A toxicology team is trying to confirm whether these overdose deaths are fentanyl-related.
The coroner's office is urging people to have naloxone if they know someone who is at-risk of overdosing.
