Dozens of Central Ohio schools closed or delayed Wednesday as winter weather striked.

The National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Road conditions were not ideal as many areas received a mix of snow and rain.

Meteorologist Andrew Buck Michael said generally, Central Ohioans will see light snow with brief pockets of a rain and snow mix. He said about half an inch of snow is expected with isolated pockets of up to an inch.

Slippery roads will remain a concern throughout the day.
