Driver hit and killed after his SUV broke down in Clermont County

Driver was hit and killed when he got out of his SUV when it broke down on Old State Route 32 (WKRC file)

BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A man was killed after his vehicle broke down on SR 32 and he got out to check on it in Batavia Township.

Ohio State Patrol troopers say James Callihan's Jeep Cherokee Sport stopped working on Old State Route 32 near Brunk Road at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. The vehicle was partially in the road. Troopers say Callihan got out of the vehicle and was in the road when another car hit him and his Sport.

Callihan was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

The other driver wasn't hurt.
