Former dancer joins mother, long-time director to train youngest Nutcracker performers
Daryl Kamer was never able to sit down and watch her daughter, Darielle Eberhard, perform in “The Nutcracker” as Clara. That was 1976 and Daryl was busy directing dancers behind the stage. Now, Darielle joins her behind-the-scenes.
They work together teaching and training the youngest dancers in the BalletMet performance of “The Nutcracker.”
“My mother is my idol. My absolute idol,” said Darielle. “I remember, as a little girl, thinking she was always so glamorous.”
“I love it, I absolutely love it,” said Darielle. “It is the best thing in the world to work with my mom.”
“The Nutcracker” runs thru December 24 at the Ohio Theatre.
