John Kasich joins CNN as political commentator after governorship

    COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - One day out of office, former Ohio Governor John Kasich joined CNN as senior political commentator.

    The news comes after Kasich signed with United Talent Agency.

    United Talent Agency (UTA) announced it will help John Kasich navigate his next phase of public and private life follow his two terms as Ohio governor. As Republican Governor Mike DeWine took office Monday, the talent agency said it will help Kasich through the next phase of his career in civic engagement, by continuing to inspire audiences to lead purpose-driven lives of service.

    Kasich said he will first be on at 9 p.m. Tuesday during Cuomo Prime Time.

    This isn't Kasich's first dip into television. In 2007, CNN says he hosted a weekend show called "Heartland" on Fox News.

    Per CNBC report, Kasich ruled out an chance of rejoining Fox News as both have changed in the past decade.
