Man charged with murder after bullet went through home, killing a man in his sleep

Columbus Police said a 22-year-old man was charged with murder after a man was killed while sleeping in his home earlier this month.

Devon Dreshawn Bias was charged with two counts of murder. A second suspect, whose identity has yet to be released is being withheld pending further investigation. Both remain in police custody.

Police said on Monday December 4, two victims were found dead in West Columbus near the 200 block of Wayne Avenue. The first victim was found dead near an abandoned SUV, the second was found deceased in his home.

The second victim was believed to be asleep at the time of his murder per police.

These were the 124th and 125th murders in Columbus this year.
