The National Veterans Memorial and Museum will be open this weekend, offering special activities for children and families to take part in for the 4th of July.

On July 2 and 3, visitors can take part in activities that are created to educate those about the importance of Independence Day.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 2, guests can learn how to properly fold an American flag and even design their own flag.

In addition, special tour opportunities will be available.

National Veterans Memorial and Museum Independence Day Weekend Schedule:

  • July 1: NVMM closed for private event
  • July 2: Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with special programming
  • July 3: Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with special programming
  • July 4: NVMM closed in observance of Independence Day
