Police investigating deadly industrial accident in southwest Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- Police are investigating an industrial accidental that claimed the life of a person in southwest Columbus Friday night.

Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Feddern Avenue around 7:38 p.m. The victim, a 45-year-old man, died from his injuries a short time later.

Fire officials said he was working with some other people when he fell off a ladder into a tank. While in the tank, he went into cardiac arrest. Fire crews said they had a difficult time getting him out. He was transported to Mt. Carmel West Hospital where he later died.
