Police search for man accused of robbing Sawmill Road restaurant with implied gun

Police are searching for the man accused of robbing a northwest Columbus restaurant with an implied gun Monday evening.

The robbery happened around 6:30 p.m. at the Subway Restaurant in the 7300 block of Sawmill Road.

Police say an unidentified man walked up to the counter and demanded money while implying he has a gun. The clerk complied and the suspect fled in an unknown direction per police.

The robber was described as being around 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds and between 25-30-years-old. Police said he had a brown mustache, was unshaven and wearing a camo gray winter hat with straps around the chin, a black jacket, blue jeans, and dark rubber style boots.
