An East Columbus Transport company is struggling to keep its feet afloat after thieves stole two vehicles parked in front of the building in a matter of weeks.

Wheels To Go is a transportation company that drives patients to medical appointments.

"I don't think it crossed their mind, or even cared about it. (We) take people to dialysis, get people to the hospital," said Jimmy Schock, the company's Maintenance Manager.

Over the past few months, the East Columbus business has been targeted twice by car thieves. Most recently surveillance cameras captured an alleged crook who broke into a Toyota Camry on January 3, and then drove off with the vehicle parked in front of the business' Cleveland Avenue location.

"You don't know what that person you are stealing from is going through," said Schock.

The company was able to find rides for all of their patients who were scheduled to be transported by the stolen vehicles. Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
