Daylight reveals devastation in the Florida Keys
St. Lucie County: No curfew; road closures due to flooding as of 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Indian River County: No curfews, no road/bridge closures.The Florida Keys are still without power and cell service but some images have emerged showing the devastation to the area.
Daylight has offered the first glimpse into the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma. Local authorities are calling it a humanitarian crisis.
The Guard is en route to the island to begin rescue and recovery efforts. Monroe County officials do not believe any of the bridges have collapsed.
Boats are stranded along U.S. 1 in Big Pine Key. Some areas near Bahia Honda State Park have been called unrecognizable.
Snappers, a popular restaurant in Key Largo was also heavily damaged.
