Boston police said Tuesday that a 23-year-old woman who was reported missing was found alive.

Just before 4 p.m., police announced that they located Olivia "Liviy" Ambrose in the city's Charlestown neighborhood.

Authorities said 38-year-old Victor Pena was arrested and is facing a kidnapping charge.

Before her disappearance, Olivia's twin sister Francesca, said she saw Olivia on the dance floor at Hennessy's Bar talking with a stranger.

During a press conference Tuesday, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said surveillance footage showed Pena with his arms around Ambrose.

"Twice, Pena was observed engaging Miss. Ambrose on Congress Street, to the point where at certain points he was physically guiding and holding on to her. And at some point, they entered public transportation, where they were eventually picked up on camera at Bunker Hill Community College."

But they later said she was found alive.

A family spokesperson issued a statement, saying in part, "The Ambrose Family is so grateful for the monumental efforts of the Boston Police Department and the MBTA who worked tirelessly over the last three days to bring Olivia home."

Gross says the suspect's motive has yet to be determined. The man is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
