Molino woman overturns SUV after colliding with car stopped for funeral procession
A Molino woman is recovering from serious injuries after reportedly rear-ending a car that was stopped for a funeral procession on Tuesday afternoon.
Channel 3 media partner NorthEscambia.com reported that the crash happened on Highway 29 near Success Drive.
According to NorthEscambia.com, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that June Richards, 66, did not see a car that stopped on the highway for the procession and slammed into it, causing her SUV to overturn.
The NorthEscambia.com report also stated that Richards was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious injuries and that FHP cited her for careless driving.
The other driver, 27-year old Breanna Williams of Frisco City, AL, was treated for minor injuries at Sacred Heart Hospital and was also given a citation for impeding traffic, according to NorthEscambia.com
This incident is currently under investigation by FHP.
